Keep Cameron in!

Talk about a scary week. We rushed to the hospital last Wednesday
night, Sept 17th and at barely 26 weeks, I was contracting every
two minutes. In the past 10 days I have gone from the labor and
delivery wing to the APU to the ICU back to labor and delivery
wing. I've been mag toxic, contracted pnemonia, gained 20 pounds,
lost 25 pounds and haven't had more than two hours of straight
sleep yet. It has been a crazy two weeks but we've been able to
keep Cameron in, so it's all been worth it. We are at 27 weeks and
2 days, trying to make it to at least 30 weeks. He just can't wait
to be born though. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Keep
thinking "Keep Cameron in!"

Dana and Nancy were my two favorite recurring L&D nurses. They started the "Keep Cameron in" catchphrase.

Here's Mike the first night. He got to sleep on that sweet looking cot in the corner.

Here I am the second night. Still in L&D and looking pretty 'normal'.

Here's where things started to go downhill. They moved me to the Antipartum unit and within 6 hours I was on a bipap machine and had about 25 pounds of swelling.

In the ICU, but still trying to stay positive. I got to wear that attractive mask for 36 hours straight. No breaks at all.

  2. Hey Janie! It's Jasmin. I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you, Mike, and Cameron. I just finished looking at the ultrasounds and little Cameron is absolutely adorable!! I hope he grows stronger and everything turns out okay. I guess he just couldn't wait to see you! Talk to you later, bye!!

Hello Jane & Mike - we just got the news that Cameron arrived quite early despite everyone telling him to wait a while longer before entering this big world.

We pray that he will be fine, grow strong and healthy, and that the two of you will be lavished with love and care so you will soon all be home together.

Bob and I are off to France on Wed. for the month of Oct (visiting my brother and family)but I'll have my laptop so will check in to see how things are going.

    Much love and gentle hugs.
    Mary.
